Alan Lee (born 1947), an English book illustrator. He illustrated the centennary edition of the Lord of the Rings for HarperCollins, but he has illustrated several other fantasy books. Lee and John Howe were the lead artists of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings movies.
