Beovoz: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

The Beovoz is the Belgrade Underground Railway.

There are four lines in the Belgrade underground railway network:

• Batajnica-Pančevo
• Pančevo-Resnik
• Resnik-Batajnica
• Lajkovac-Zemun-Pančevo

Many stations are not built underground. Few stations that are built underground are located in city center. The main usage of today's system is to connect suburbs with center of Belgrade. Real metro in the city is scheduled for building in 2005.
