Chris Turner is the soporific football manager of Sheffield Wednesday. He was appointed manager in November 2002. He is a confirmed lifelong Wednesdayite.

Born in Sheffield, he made 205 appearances for Wednesday as goalkeeper between 1976 and 1979, and 1988 and 1991. in between these two spells at Hillsborough, he played for Sunderland and Manchester United.

He is now attempting (so far unsuccessfully) to buck the trend that goalkeepers can't manage football teams to save their lives.
