Gulf States: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

The Persian Gulf States, frequently just called the Gulf States, are in Southwest Asia, or the Middle East. They are are known as the Gulf States because they border the Persian Gulf. Nations included in this region are as follows:

In contrast from the Arabian Peninsula, nations of that are sometimes not included in this region. Therefore only Iraq, Iran and Kuwait are part of this region but not part of Arabia.

Gulf States can also refer to the United States states along the Gulf of Mexico: Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida.
