A23: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

The A23 is a major road in England. It runs from London to Brighton in East Sussex.

From near Waterloo station, it travels south through Brixton, Streatham, Croydon, Coulsdon, Redhill, then into West Sussex. Continuing south, it runs past Gatwick Airport and Crawley on its way to Brighton on the south coast.

Part of the road between Coulsdon and Crawley has been bypassed by the M23 motorway.
