The A61 is a major road in England, running from Alfreton in Derbyshire to Thirsk in North Yorkshire. From Alfreton, it heads north via Clay Cross, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Barnsley, Wakefield, Leeds, Harrogate and Ripon. The road is closely paralleled by the M1 motorway as far as Leeds.
