Anatoly Konstantinovich Lyadov: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Anatoly Konstantinovich Lyadov (1855 - 1914) was a Russian composer and conductor. Lyadov was born to a family of eminent Russian musicians. He graduated from the St.Petersburg Conservatory, where he was studying composition under Nikolay Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov. Lyadov was an author of programmatic music, arrangements of Russian folk-songs. His style blended in the influences of the Russian nationalistic school with the Western Romantic trends. Among his pupils were several renowned composers, including S.S Prokofiev, N.Ya.Myaskovsky ,M.F.Gnesin, B.F.Asafiev.
