Brechin is a burgh in Angus, Scotland. The town is well known for the tenth century Brechin Cathedral. For many years it was considered a city because of its status as the seat of a diocese of the Episcopal Church of Scotland. Its population of approximately 3,000 people made it one of the smallest cities in Britain. The football club is still known as Brechin City.
Also in the burgh is the Pictavia exhibition on the Picts, a museum and a station on the Caledonian Railway (Brechin).
