Clavier à lumières: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

The clavier a lumieres was a musical instrument invented by Scriabin for use in his work . However, it was never built in his lifetime. The instrument was supposed to be a keyboard, with notes corresponding to colors as given by Scriabin's synaesthesia. Scriabin saw the following colors for notes:
