Czechs: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Czechs are a western Slavic people of Central Europe, living in the Czech Republic, but also in small parts of Slovakia and Hungary. They speak the Czech language.

They are descendants of ancient Celtic, Thracian and Slavic tribes who inhabited the region between Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, and Germany. Czechs belong mainly to the Alpic and Baltic anthropological types of the European race, and their language is closely related to the Slovak language.
