DiskDrake: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

DiskDrake is a computer program for hard disk drive partitioning released under GPL license made as a part of Mandrake Linux, a popular Linux distribution. It is used during the installation of Mandrake Linux, and can also be accessed in the Mandrake Control Center.

DiskDrake has a long history of innovations: it is believed to have been the first free software graphical partitioning program providing Windows NTFS partitions resizing. It can also deal with RAID and LVM partitions, and can create ext3, reiserfs, xfs and jfs filesystems for a long time.
