GNU Mach: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

GNU Mach is the default microkernel in the GNU Hurd kernel of the GNU operating system. In November 2002, Richard M. Stallman announced the Free Software Foundation's plan to switch to OSKit Mach, in order to solve major problems blocking the release of the GNU operating system. Another major effort is underway to port the HURD to the L4 microkernel family
