Gairsay is an island in Orkney, Scotland. Its main settlement was Langaskaill, originally the location of a drinking hall built by Sweyn Asliefsson and then of a mansion built by William Craigie in the seventeenth century.
The island is currently inhabited by one family, who issue their own postage stamps.
