The Gray Fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) is a species of wild dogs, that is distributed from southern Canada through the USA and Central America to Colombia and Venezuela. Its colours are grey on the back, tawny on sides, neck and legs, and white on the belly. There is a black stripe along the back and the tail.

Gray Foxes are forest dwellers, and together with the closely related Island Foxes they are the only canids able to climb trees. In the trees and on the ground they are hunting squirrels, mice and birds and foraging for berries and other vegetable diet.
