Grays: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

For discussion of the race of extraterrestrial aliens, see Greys.

Grays is the largest town in Thurrock, an area in the South-East of England. Thurrock was a district of the county of Essex until 1998, when it became an independent unitary authority area (which is equivalent in rank to a county). 'London Road' is the main road which links Grays town centre with Lakeside and Purfleet. Local sites of interest include the Thameside Theatre and the Thurrock History Museum. Grays in the past was a small town located just below London and was rapidly becoming an industrial dumping ground for the capital. It was made up of small farms and local industrial businesses with links to London.
