Hilda L. Solis (born October 20 1957), American politician, has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 2001, representing the 32nd District of California. She was born in Los Angeles, California, was educated at California Polytechnic University, Pomona and the University of Southern California, and served in the White House Office of Hispanic Affairs, as an analyst with the Office of Management and Budget, and as a member of the California Assembly and the California Senate before entering the House.
