Hreidmar: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

In Norse mythology, Hreidmar was the father of Otter, Fafnir and Regin. Otter was accidentally killed by the Aesir, who repayed him with Andvari's cursed gold. Fafnir and Regin then killed Hreidmar for the gold, though Fafnir then decided he wanted to the gold all for himself; he turned into a dragon.
