Jerry Rice: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Jerry Rice (born October 13, 1962) is an American football player in the NFL. A longtime wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, he now plays for the Oakland Raiders. In college, Rice played for Mississippi Valley State University, where he acquired the nickname World, because there wasn't a ball in the world he couldn't catch.

Rice has scored the most touchdowns in NFL history, and holds virtually every significant career record for receivers. He has also been voted league-wide Most Valuable Player and Super Bowl MVP.

He is projected to be a future Hall of Famer.
