The Judaizers were an early heresy in Christianity. They taught that in order to become Christians, Gentiles needed to become Jewish proselytes and observe the various requirements of Judaism, including circumcision. Paul's letter to the churches in Galatia addresses this heresy in detail, and the Jerusalem Council (Acts 15) was held also for the purpose of dealing with this issue. The Judaizers were ruled to be incorrect, and it was determined that Gentiles do not have to observe all the requirements of Judaism in order to be a part of the Christian church.
