Kontich is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises the towns of Kontich proper and Waarloos. On January 1st, 2000 Kontich had a total population of 19,874 (9,802 males and 10,072 females). The total area is 23.88 km² which gives a population density of 832.24 inhabitants per km².
