L. Peter Deutsch: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

L. Peter Deutsch is the founder of Aladdin Enterprises and creator of Ghostscript, a free software PostScript interpreter.

Peter's other work includes the definitive Smalltalk implementation that, among other innovations, inspired Java just-in-time technology 15 or-so years earlier. He also wrote the PDP-1 Lisp 1.5 implementation "while still in short pants".

He is also the author of a number of RFCs.
