Langley, Virginia: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Langley is a community in the town of McLean in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. The community was actually absorbed into McLean, Virginia many years ago, although there is still a Langley High School. In addition to being a bedroom community for Washington DC, the area is the site of the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency as well as the new 30 acre headquarters for the USA Today daily newspaper and its parent company Gannett. The heavily wooded town of McLean is located between the George Washington Parkway and the town of Vienna and is known for its upscale homes and small town atmosphere despite its proximity to the capital. The area is also well-known for its shopping and upscale malls including the nearby Tyson's Corner malls and the Galleria.
