London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is part of the University of London. It is a postgraduate specialising in public health and tropical medicine. It has 1,600 students.

It was founded in 1899 as the London School of Tropical Medicine, and took its current name in 1924.
