M60 motorway: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

The M60 motorway is an orbital motorway which completely encircles Manchester.

It was developed by connecting and consolidating the existing motorway sections of the M63, M62, and an extended M66.

As an orbital motorway, it is equivalent to Londons M25 motorway.
