Milkbone: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Milkbone is an instant messaging client.

It's still very much in its infancy, but it supports:

  • Communication with AOL's servers via the OSCAR protocol
  • Support for plugins
  • Conversation logging
  • Support for Windows, UNIX and Mac OS X systems

Milkbone's distribution is only 190K, but it still provides a complete graphical interface and is written completely in Perl.
