Modibo Keita: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Modibo Keita (or Kéïta; b. 1915 d. 1977) was the first President of Mali (from 1960 to 1968) and the Prime Minister of the Mali Federation. He espoused a form of African socialism.

Keita was overthrown by Moussa Traoré.


Another Modibo Keita (b. 1942) is a former Prime Minister of Mali.
