Monolith Productions: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Monolith Productions is a Kirkland, Washington-based company that makes computer games.

Monolith uses their own game engine for most of their games, called Lithtech, rather than licensing a more popular game engine like Quake or Unreal.

As of 2004, Monolith games include Tron 2.0, No One Lives Forever 1 and 2, Alien vs. Predator 2, Shogo Mobile Armor Division, Blood 1 and 2, and Claw.

Monolith is also developing The Matrix Online, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on The Matrix series, continuing the story after The Matrix Revolutions.
