Moon Unit Zappa: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Moon Unit Zappa (born September 28, 1967) is the oldest daughter of famous Frank Zappa. She became known when she recorded a vocal improvisation on her father's song "Valley Girl" on 1982 when she was 15. This song is about vals (Valley girls) and features Moon improvising phrases on the valspeak dialect.

The song was released on a single (the only one from Zappa that became a United States top 40 hit, and also on the album Ship Arriving Too Late to Save a Drowning Witch which features several pictures of Moon with her father Frank.

Moon was born in New York City. She has three younger siblings, Dweezil, Ahmet, and Diva.
