Mount Madison: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Mount Madison is a mountain in the Presidential Range of New Hampshire that is 5,363 ft. tall. Mount Madison Hut is just below the summit of Mt. Madison. Even though the presidential mountain's heights are supposed to go in order of presidents (Mt. Washington is the highest, Mt. Adams is the second highest, etc) Mt. Monroe is actually 22 ft. taller than Mt. Madison due to a surveying error, even though Madison comes before Monroe in the order of presidents.
