National Diet Library: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

The National Diet Library (国立国会図書館; Kokuritsu Kokkai Toshokan) is the largest national library of Japan, and is located in Tokyo. The Diet is a Japanese legislature; the library is an equivalent of the U.S. Library of Congress.

The library stores copies of all publications published in Japan.
