The North Carolina General Assembly is the state legislature of the U.S. state of North Carolina. It is made up of the North Carolina House of Representatives and the North Carolina Senate which have 120 and 50 members, respectively.
The General Assembly meets in the state capital of Raleigh, North Carolina. Historically it meet in the capitol building, however since 1963 the legislature has met in the North Carolina Legislative Buidling.
