Northland: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

The Northland region in New Zealand is located in what is often referred by New Zealanders as the Far North. The seat of its Northland Regional Council is in the town of Whangarei. There are three territorial authorities in the Northland region:

• Far North District Council
• Whangarei District Council
• Kaipara District Council
