Simon Patrick Tipping (born 24 October 1949) is a politician in the United Kingdom. He is Labour Party member of Parliament for Sherwood in Nottinghamshire, and was first elected in 1992. From 1997 to 2001 he worked in various junior government positions but is now a backbencher once more.
