Pan-atheism is a term sometimes used to refer to a Naturalistic Pantheism, and usually intended in a derogatory sense. Critics of this form of naturalistic pantheism use the "pan-atheism" term only to indicate a false or pseudo-pantheism which they believe is only akin to marxist materialism and to scientific reductionism and hedonistic nihilism.
Creators of the term "pan-atheism" maintain that it is a pseudo-pantheism because "pan-atheists" do not adhere to the actual dictionary definiton of pantheism which states that "All is in God and God is in All"; rather their "pan-atheistic" beliefs are better encapsulated by the definition: "All is Nature" and "Nature is All".
