Patrick Volkerding: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Patrick Volkerding is the founder and maintainer of Slackware Linux. Slackers often refer to him as "The man" as a token of respect for bringing them - what they agree is - the greatest Linux distro out there.

For a short while he worked on Slackware assisted by Chris Lumens and others. But for the last couple of years he is working alone again... and manages to bring out new releases.
