Phillip E. Johnson: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Phillip E. Johnson, J.D. (University of Chicago), is Professor of Law (emeritus) at the University of California, Berkeley, where he taught for 30 years. A frequent lecturer, he is also the author of Darwin on Trial (ISBN 0830813241), Reason in the Balance (ISBN 0830816100), Defeating Darwinism by Opening Minds, The Wedge of Truth, Objections Sustained, and The Right Questions (all InterVarsity Press), as well as of two textbooks on criminal law. He is most well-known for his writing on creationism and more recently, intelligent design, as alternatives to the theory of evolution. He is also known for questioning the scientific orthodoxy that HIV is proven to be the cause of AIDS. Johnson has no formal background in the biological sciences.

Mr. Johnson is an elder in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), and he now has a regular column in Touchstone, "The Leading Edge."
