Something is quantitative if it can be measure numerically. Examples would be the price of milk or the rate of uptake of oxygen in a lung. This word is often used to emphasise a difference:
"This is qualitative not quantitative."

- SATS are often accused of attempting to put a quantitative measure to something that is fundamentally qualitative.
- In general a politician uses the above phrase when trying to undermine the position of another regarding some quantitative measure.
