Rafael Antoni Furcal (born August 24, 1978) is a baseball player for the Atlanta Braves (as of 2004). Initially called up from minor leagues to replace Walt Weiss for 15 days, he went on to take the MLB Rookie of the Year Award. Furcal was hurt in 2001 in a game against the Boston Red Sox.
