Real Sex's content often borders on pornographic (some say it is fully pornographic) and explores many different areas of human sexuality, from the latest sexual fads to casual sexual festivals and home production of pornographic movies. The show typically explores three to four topics each episode. The show often has non-sequitor poetry delivered speakeasy-style by an undressing narrator presented as interludes beween topics.
