Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is a museum in Cleveland, Ohio dedicated, as the name suggests, to recording the history of some of the best-known and most influential rock and roll performers, producers, and other people who have in some major way influenced the industry.

Each year, since 1986 a small number of people are inducted in to the Hall of Fame in an annual induction ceremony in New York City. Currently, people or groups are qualified to be inducted 25 years after the release of their first record.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame opened on September 2, 1995 in a building designed by I. M. Pei.
