Rod (god): Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Rod is likely to be the most ancient deity in Slavic pantheon. It's likely that several other gods, most notably Svarog were initially epithets or incarnations of Rod. Svarog Rod meat something like Heavenly Rod. Later on these incarnations separated from Rod and became worshiped as separate entities. Very little is known about actual worship of Rod.
