The rose subfamily includes many shrubs and perennial herbs. Only a few are annual herbs.

      • some species, classified as Potentilla, may to be included here.
  • genus Potentilla : the clade Potentilla includes Argentina, Duchesnea, Horkelia, Ivesia, and probably Horkeliella. Potential candidates for inclusion are : the genera Comarella, Purpusia, and Stellariopsis.
