SS-N-16 Stallion cruise missile

Like its smaller brother the SS-N-15 Starfish, this Russian Cruise missile is launched from a larger torpedo tube, 650mm in diameter, is boosted to the surface, and a solid rocket propellant delivers the payload to a target up to 100km away. Typically a Type 40 torpedo or a 20kT warhead is used. This cruise missile if fitted to a variety of Russian submarines, intended as an anti-ship or submarine measure.
