Sagami Province: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Sagami (相模国; -no kuni) was an old province. It occupied most of the area that is today Kanagawa prefecture, but present-day Yokohama and Kawasaki, now part of Kanagawa Prefecture, were not in Sagami. Sagami bordered on Izu, Kai, Musashi and Suruga provinces. The article is originally from OpenHistory.
