San Ignacio: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

San Ignacio is a municipality in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. It stands at 23° 28'00" N. and 105° 53'00" W.

The municipality reported 26 762 inhabitants in the 2000 census.

There is also a palm oasis town named San Ignacio in Baja California Sur between Guerrero Negro and Santa Rosalia. The town has a population of about 4000 and grew at the site of a Mission build in 1728 by Jesuit Padre Juan Bautista Loyando. [1]
