A Schnauzer is a German type of dog. The name comes from the German word for nose because of the dogs' distinctively large noses. Kennel clubs generally subdivide these dogs into three breeds by size:

The Russian Black Terrier is also sometimes known as the Russian Bear Schnauzer.
