Simeon Baldwin: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Simeon Baldwin (December 14, 1761-May 26, 1851) was the mayor of New Haven.

He was born in Norwich, Connecticut, he became United States Representative from Connecticut at-large, 1803-05, state court judge in Connecticut, 1806-17, and mayor of New Haven, Connecticut, 1826. He died in New Haven, Connecticut, and was interred at Grove Street Cemetery.

He was father of Roger Sherman Baldwin.
