Skywest is an airline based in Perth, Australia servicing key towns in the state of Western Australia. It began service in 1963 as Carnarvon Air Taxis.

The airline was owned by Ansett Australia, operating flights on their behalf, until Ansett's demise in 2002. The organisation was then successfully purchased by private investors who continue to operate it. Skywest now has an affiliation with Qantas including the sharing of their frequent flyer programme.

Skywest's IATA call code is XR.
