Sonya Thomas, a Korean-American of Alexandria, Va, is a female competitive eater. She is possibly one of the best eaters in the world.

Her most famous record to date was 32 hot dogs in 12 minutes on July 4, 2004 at the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. Despite that two Japanese contestants have eaten 53.5 and 38 hot dogs respectively, she has eaten more hots dogs than any other woman or man of the U.S. in the history of the contest. She is known as "The Black Widow."
