The Staples Center is the center of the future Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment District which broke ground in 2004.

Staples Center is a sports arena in downtown Los Angeles, California at the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment District. It is located near the intersection of Interstate highways I-10 and I-110. It is named for the Staples office-supply company, one of the center's corporate sponsors.

Staples Center is the home arena for the following teams:

The center opened in 1999, and seats approximately 19,000 for basketball and 16,000 for ice hockey.

Staples Center was the venue for the 2000 Democratic National Convention.
